Deco Fun – Sizes, Colors, Price

Deco Fun Series includes 3 tablet sizes, 4 cute colors to choose from and is very budget-friendly.

Your options are:

  • Deco Fun XS Tablet (extra-small).
    • Dimensions: 182.4×134.7×10.5mm
    • Active Area: 4.8"× 3"
    • Price: $29.99
  • Deco Fun S Tablet (small).
    • Dimensions: 210.5×159.8×12.9mm
    • Active Area: 6.3"× 4"
    • Price: $39.99
  • Deco Fun L Tablet (large).
    • Dimensions: 315×222.9×12.5mm
    • Active Area: 10"× 6.27"
    • Price: $49.99

They all come with a P01 battery-free stylus.

And you can choose your color:

  • classic black
  • space blue
  • apple green
  • and carmine red

Which one do you like the most? Let me know in the comments below!

The only important differences between the sizes are:

  • The size duh
  • And that the S and L support a 60-degree tilt, and the XS doesn’t.

Deco Fun – What’s in The Box?

It doesn’t matter which size you get, the components inside are the same (except for the tablet, of course).

You are getting:

  • x1 Deco Fun tablet
  • x1 Stylus
  • x10 Replacement Pen Nibs
  • x1 Pen Clipper
  • x1 USB-C Cable
  • x1 Warranty
  • x1 Quick Guide
  • x1 Thank you card

Really simple but effective packaging. All three tablets came in perfectly fine. The largest box was slightly bent, but on the inside, everything was intact.

You can watch me unbox the tablets in the video above, it’s actually pretty satisfying 🙂

My Experience With Deco Fun

I’ve had the pleasure to play around with the Deco Fun Large and Deco Fun XS. Apart from the noticeable to the eye size difference, the experience was pretty much the same.

The connection process was super easy to follow, I just had to download the driver from their website and then follow the steps in the guide (that comes with the driver).

After, I tested to see if the tablet will allow me to access all corners of my screen – and it did.

I also changed what the buttons on the stylus do to match my work process, and it worked without any hick-ups. You can do it within the installed driver, it’s very straightforward. If you are feeling lost, check out the video above to see how I did it.

Then, I gave myself a little challenge of sketching a skull for 20 minutes on each tablet.

I was a little unsure of how the XS will work since the work area is pretty small, but I’m happy to say that it didn’t stop me from having a lot of fun drawing.

The stylus was very responsive, with no delay in between me placing a stroke and it showing up in Photoshop.

It also responded well to pressure sensitivity and I was able to place some lovely strokes with different sizes and opacity.

All-in-all I had a lovely time using it and can definitely see myself throwing the XS in the bag for a travel trip!

Who Is It Perfect For?

I think that the Deco Fun Series tablets are great for:

  • Beginner artists just getting started on their path.
  • Artists who want to try digital painting and aren’t sure how they feel about it yet.
  • Artists on a low budget.
  • Non-artists looking for a tablet for their work, studying, playing or to substitute their mouse.

So, I think it’s a good starting point. If I got one when I was in high school just getting interested in digital art, I’d be super happy with this one.

What Else Can You Do With It?

XP-Pen DECO FUN Series is fun, indeed.

I think XP-Pen wants you to have this tablet on your table 24/7, so they made sure to make it full of other interesting uses.

WORK and LEARN

  • “Explain Everything” is a software you are getting for free together with this tablet. It’s great for remote learning and allows both students and teachers to share their thoughts and ideas in real-time. (more info on their website)
  • Use it in remote meetings to express your ideas.
  • Sign documents and contracts.
  • Create and share tutorials, animated stories, and whatever else your creative mind can come up with 🙂

PLAY and DRAW

  • You can find different games to play with this. Maybe working with a pen will help you get a higher score and beat your friends who just use mouses or trackpads.
  • For example, playing OSU with this tablet will surely give you an unfair advantage 😉
  • And, of course, create beautiful digital illustrations.
